Warta Landscape Park


The Warta Landscape Park is an attractive place for nature lovers, because its area is a mainstay of waterfowl birds of international importance. This protected landscape lies in the Warta river valley within four communes: Pyzdry, Zagórów, Lądek and Rzgów. The Warta River is an inseparable element of the route known as the Greater Poland's Great Loop, and the natural values ​​of the park can also be admired from the river level. Cyclists will reach the destination by the route of the Warta Bicycle Trail. During hiking trips in the wetlands of the pre-valley, wellington boots will be indispensable. It was established in 1995 to protect the natural environment, specific features of the valley landscape, scientific and didactic behavior of bird breeding sites, as well as preservation of historical and cultural values. The park covers 13,428 ha, including Golina, Lądek, Pyzdry, Rzgów and Zagórów. The main element that determines the character of the Park is the Warsaw-Berlin glacial valley. Gopło Landscape Park


It's a landscape park located in the Skulsk commune. The nature of the park is determined by water and wetlands. The largest reservoir of the park located on the border of Wielkopolska and Kujawy is the Gopło lake. Its basin in the past resembled the sea, hence it was called "Mare Polonorum", ie the Polish Sea. Cyclists will get here by the Amber Bicycle Trail, and rowers get there by the Warta-Gopło Canal (fragment of the Great Loop of Greater Poland). It was established in 1992 (with an area of ​​nearly 10,000 ha) from the transformation of the existing landscape reserve. Powidz Landscape Park

Established in 1998. occupies 25,600 ha of area in the communes of Kleczew, Orchowo, Ostrowite, Powidz, Słupca, Wilczyn and Witkowo. The park was created to protect natural and cultural values. There are forests, lakes, peat bogs and meadows. The main element that determines the character of the Park are 17 lakes located in several post-glacial areas. The largest of them is the Powidz and Skorzęcin Lakes. The park has a rich vegetation - there are 900 species of plants growing here, 50 of which are protected. More informations...
 


Mielno Nature Reserve

It is the oldest reserve in the Bieniszew Forest, it was established in 1957. It includes the Mielno lake with the surrounding forest and meadows with an area of ​​94.43 ha. Today the most interesting phenomenon in the reserve is the progressive process of "aging" of the lake and the succession of plant communities in its area associated with the growth of the reservoir's panes. In the reserve there are 24 species of trees and 19 species of shrubs, including low birch.
 


Rezerwat przyrody Bieniszew

Created in 1996, it covers 144.40 ha of deciduous forests with dominant oak and hail. In the reserve there is a chapel and a well of Saint. Barnabas related to the cult of the Five Brothers of the Martyrs.
 


Sokółki Nature Reserve

This is another reserve protecting the most valuable fragments of the Bieniszew Forest, constituting a remnant of the former Kazimierz Forests. Established in 1996, it covers 240 ha of forest area covered with Central European hail and marshy meadows. The hornbeam, maple and beech dominate. The shore of the reserve is an educational path. The reserve is one of the most valuable natural and tourist places with a sanctuary for wild birds and game.
 


Pustelnik Nature Rserve

Created in 1997 year with an area of ​​125 ha. The forest with the habitat of many interesting and legally protected plant species. It covers various elements of landscape, nature and culture. In its area, which is a mosaic of forests in the mid-forest lakes and glades, there is the Sowia Góra hill, where in 1633 year a Camaldolese Hermitage monastery was established. It is one of two such in Poland. The reserve is a big tourist attraction and is a great didactic object.
 


Gold Hill Nature Reserve

It was created in 1996 year to protect the highest hill in the Konin county - Złota Góra (187 m above sea level). Its area covers an area of ​​123.87 ha. It is overgrown with mixed forest and sour oak on the edge of its range. This area has its own local health microclimate resulting from the stand of pine and juniper.
